CM solicitors have a great deal of experience when it comes to dealing with claims for poorly designed or badly made furniture. This does not necessarily have to be furniture that you purchase yourself. It could extend to a claim for faulty furniture in a public place such as a GP’s waiting room or an airport.

Whether it’s in a public area or in your own home we have the technical know-how and the legal expertise to ensure that we get the best result for you that we can. We will leave no stone unturned when it comes to securing the maximum amount of compensation that you deserve

Most furniture is manufactured abroad these days and where they have been shown to be faulty and made outside the European Union it may be necessary to seek compensation from the importer that has the trading relationship with the manufacturer. If the chair was provided for use in a restaurant, airport or other public place of business then it will usually be sufficient to simply pursue the business itself. We have experts on hand with the relevant experience to deal with either of these situations.

Case Study

Mr S came to us in the Summer of 2012 having injured himself when sitting on a chair that was supplied at an international airport. As he sat down the chair collapsed and Mr S suffered severe injuries to his lower back.

We wrote to the airport concerned after Mr S had tried and repeatedly failed to correspond with their insurers regarding some compensation. 6 months after instructing ourselves, the airport in question admitted liability through their insurers and 3 months after that we secured compensation of over £5,000.00 for Mr S

Mr S said of CM Solicitors . . .

You have been extremely helpful from the beginning. My solicitor was professional, friendly, informative and responsive at every point of the process. I have been fully involved throughout and made to feel that my views and opinions were valued. I am extremely impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to use the company again. Thank you very much”
