Lancashire’s 285 speed cameras recording different driving offences are to be published on the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety website. These figures will be put onto the site on Wednesday and will be updated by the police and the council annually.
As well as showing the driving offences that have been committed, the number of motorists who appeared in court and those who joined a speed awareness group will also be published on the site. This scheme has been set up in order to try and reduce the number of injuries and fatalities caused each year by motorists. This is one of many initiatives that are to be launched to try and decrease the number of road traffic accidents.
