Drink Driving Legal Advice Can Be Invaluable

by Carter Moore on May 11, 2010

“The number of people arrested for drink driving shows little signs of reduction, and with recent news of celebrities being arrested for the offence we are constantly reminded of the impact that a conviction would have. The reality is that an allegation of driving with excess alcohol can be difficult for the Prosecution to prove in the Magistrates Court unless all of the procedures have been followed correctly. A specialist driving solicitor can take detailed instructions which may include back calculations for alcohol consumption, spiked drinks and even identity issues. All of these areas can be explored to see whether the offence can be defended or a disqualification avoided.

The Courts are still using stringent sentencing guidelines for the drink driving offences which can range from disqualification to community service to custody. The level of alcohol in your system can be one factor considered by the Courts along with the circumstances of the offence. The most significant advantage of obtaining specialist legal advice from Carter Moore is that you will have access to a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of road law and motoring offences. From Carter Moore’s offices in London and Manchester we are well placed to offer unrivalled service from the consultation process right through to representation, and hopefully a great result in court. Carter Moore in particular also offer a free 24 hour advice line to provide instant help and support.”

On the Saturday the 7th of August I was pulled over and had breath test which read 45 ml , I was taken back to the station which read 47 ml. I was offered a blood test but didn’t think there was a need (which I know now I should of taken). This is my first ever offence and would like to know my options?
